E-Safety AND STAYING SAFE ONLINE
The digital or ‘virtual’ world is a very exciting and ever-changing experience for both our students and ourselves. The potential and real dangers of the internet and of other digital communication is constantly there and developing in new and unexpected ways.
We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the e-safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.
At the Academy, we try to educate our students by making them aware of the potential dangers and pitfalls of being online. We provide learning opportunities about cyberbullying and e-safety in a series of lessons and assemblies to all year groups. We also have e-safety tips regularly shared in our weekly student and parent bulletins.
