The EQualities Award
The EQualities Award recognises the academy’s commitment to treating everyone equally.
Highcrest was the first school in the whole of Buckinghamshire to receive this prestigious award. The EQualities Award recognises the academy’s commitment to treating everyone equally. To gain this award, Highcrest had to identify and review the different ways in which the academy engenders equality of opportunity and raises outcomes for all learners regardless of gender, disability, faith and ethnicity, sexual identity and socio-economic disadvantage. The promotion of our pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development was also a core feature of the audit, which also focused on safeguarding, bullying and the promotion of fundamental British values. The award is valid for three years and we are applying for re-designation in December 2019 when we aim to demonstrate that equality remains a priority area for us.https://www.equalitiesaward.co.uk/
